From a small beginning to a wider purpose
I’m Daryl Morgan, known as Minko: a London entrepreneur, speaker and technology adviser. My mission is to help people turn ambition into opportunity—whatever their starting point.
Building from £70
I come from a disadvantaged background. In 2011, I started Minko’s Macs from my bedroom with £70. My work in music and media depended on Apple computers, and I learned to repair and upgrade them. That knowledge became something I could offer to other people.
Starting small meant finding practical answers: developing a skill, understanding what customers needed and learning how to build a business around it. The work grew into a presence on London’s high streets, serving the people who use technology to work, create and connect.
I hold a first-class honours degree in Computer Science from the University of East London. My approach combines that technical background with the everyday experience of running businesses and helping customers.
Fifteen years of technology advice
I have advised small and medium-sized businesses, independent brands, entrepreneurs, public figures and creative professionals for 15 years. Much of that work has meant helping someone understand how computing and technology can support what they want to achieve.
That includes creative professionals whose careers have included Grammy nominations, BRIT Awards and number-one songs in different countries. My role has been in technology advice and computing workflows, supporting the tools people use to pursue their creative goals.
Today, my team and I also implement AI and business automation. This is a continuation of the same work: making technology useful, understandable and relevant to the person using it.

Opening doors for the next generation
I want to use my experience to help young people, aspiring entrepreneurs and people from backgrounds like mine see a direction they can move towards. My work through talks, workshops and community initiatives connects encouragement with practical learning.
I don’t believe a difficult starting point should decide someone’s future. Building skills, meeting people who can guide you and understanding what to do next can make the path clearer. That is the conversation I want to bring to more audiences.
